On-Line Training Courses Powered By BankersEdge ®
Here at BCG, one of our priorities is to listen to our Members comments and requests. And, our Members have been asking for more web-based access to training materials. We have BCG handouts and newsletters on-line, and the telephone Chapter Meetings continue to draw large numbers. Now, we also offer interactive web-based training so you can learn according to your own schedule from any location with Internet access.

BCG Member institutions are automatically enrolled in on-line training courses offered under an arrangement between the Group and BankersEdge ®. As part of BCG Membership, each institution is entitled to have up to 20 employees enrolled in the Standard On-Line Training Program Package.

Who is BankersEdge ®?
BankersEdge ® is a nationally respected provider of interactive bank regulatory compliance training. Its materials are used by the OCC as the on-line training system for national bank examiners. To find out more about BankersEdge ® go to www.bankersedge.com.

Standard On-Line Training Program Package
Each BCG member institution is automatically reserved up to 20 seats in the Standard On-Line Training Program Package. The package consists of three courses. Each trainee can participate in 1, 2 or all 3 of the courses.

Courses Available:
    1) Fair Lending Act (FHA)
  • Fair Housing Act (FHA) - Prohibits discrimination in housing-related lending activities against any person because of race, color, religion, national origin, handicap, familial status or sex.
  • Equal Credit Opportunity (ECOA) - Prohibits creditors from discriminating against credit applicants for gathering and evaluating credit information, and requires written notification when credit is denied.
  • Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) - Ensures accuracy, fairness and privacy of consumer information.
  • Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) - Requires certain mortgage lenders to disclose data regarding their lending patterns.
  • Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) - Designed to encourage banks to help meet the credit needs of the community.

    2) Reg CC
Expedited Funds Availability Act - Assures that deposited funds are made available in a reasonable period of time.

    3) Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Specifies the institution's obligations in recognizing and reporting large currency transactions and suspicious activities. The course also presents sound Know Your Customer practices.
If a BCG member institution wishes to include more than 20 employees in the Standard On-Line Training Program, additional seats can be purchased in 20-seat increments for a nominal cost of just $200 per year.

If you are interested in obtaining additional seats for this package, please contact us here, or call Chris Saia at (888) 599-1193.
