A person in this role:
- Supervises the collection and evaluation of various data including HMDA and CRA data.
- Performs quality control monitoring including testing activities.
- Supervises the review of consumer and mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Prepares reports on compliance activities for bank management, internal auditors, and external examiners.
- Reviews, recommends and implement appropriate database software and systems necessary to perform compliance monitoring and tracking.
- Supervises employees directly including selection, establishing goals, and managing performance.
- Allocates resources in accordance with approved budget.
- Provides compliance assistance, training and expertise to various units.
- Supervises the assigned self-assessment reviews.
- Manages priorities and monitors the status of compliance-related projects.
This position requires:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum five years of experience within the banking industry in a reporting, tracking, monitoring or quality control role with three or more years of management experience.
- Complete knowledge of regulatory requirements for financial institutions with emphasis in those applying to consumer and mortgage lending.
- Complete knowledge of database/tracking software appropriate for required tracking and monitoring.

The successful candidate for this position will have experience and expertise in credit analysis, business and individual tax return analysis, financial statement analysis of complex financial statements for Commercial borrowers and individuals and experience in cash flow analysis for individuals and various legal borrowing entities. Must have a minimum of five (5) years in real estate lending experience including extensive knowledge in real estate documentation, reviewing appraisals and environmental reports for accuracy and pertinent data, reviewing preliminary title reports, and must be able to properly complete the spreading of financial statements and prepare RCE's in an accurate, clear and concise manner. Candidates for this position must be able to successfully interface and deal with individuals such as Center Managers, Relationship Managers and Customers and be a self-starter, working independently of supervision. The ability to work in an expeditious manner, to be accurate and to work with a heavy workload are a must. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are definite requirements. Proficiency with the Bank's computer software is a definite plus.
